Experienced Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Cardiology

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic outpatient practice situated in the vibrant community of Forest Hills, New York. This full-time role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients within our Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC). The NP will actively collaborate with a team of Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art outpatient facility, fully equipped to cater to a diverse patient population with complex cardiac conditions. The NP will be under the supervision of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and the guidance of the Medical Director within the Division of Cardiology, ensuring a supportive framework for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple Cardiologists to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with Hypertension, High Cholesterol, and other chronic conditions.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services, diagnosing and treating patients with arrhythmias, abnormal electrocardiograms, and other related issues.
• Assess and manage acute cardiac conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack, implementing tailored management plans.
• Perform diagnostic Stress Testing as required, interpreting results to inform treatment decisions.
• Maintain a close working relationship with on-site Cardiologists for consultations and to ensure effective supervision.
• Conduct thorough histories and physical examinations to guide the monitoring and treatment of patients.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions according to established protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within our integrated group when necessary.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment options, disease processes, and preventive care measures.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGPCNP) in the state of New York is required.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner certification must be maintained.
• Proficiency in cardiac care practices and protocols is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient cardiology setting is preferred, though both experienced NPs and recent graduates will be considered.
• Experience with Electrophysiology and arrhythmia management is a significant plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a highly competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
