Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, employing both standardized tools and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families, guiding their progress beyond the walls of the clinic.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapies, maintaining a seamless continuum of care for patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Ensure precise and prompt documentation in alignment with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in continued learning and collaboration with peers to stay ahead in the evolving field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
