Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable Specialist at Hydroline, a Synergen company, in Bossier City, Louisiana Essential Functions Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers. Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment. Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested. Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed. Processes client payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Resolves account discrepancies and oversees collections. Upholds professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors, clients, and vendors. Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Working knowledge of QuickBooks. Working knowledge of Open Invoice preferred. Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data. Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem‑solving skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
