Start Date Position available on or after August 24, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing seeks a dynamic, self-starting student to work with the Web Services Team maintaining and updating the University website. This position will provide in-depth hands-on training and experience coordinating websites and electronic communications. Duties include but are not limited to: Editing pages on the csustan.edu Drupal site Posting images and photos to the website Cleaning up content and directory structure on the website Assist with web accessibility updates and remediation Build custom website forms using MS Forms Helping fulfill, solve and handle web work order requests from across the campus Communicating with University departments and programs regarding site updates and edits Easy/moderate graphic design projects for elements to be used on the web, such as creating banner images and cropping photos Helping current web ambassadors (Drupal editors group) with Drupal questions (will train!) Attend communications and creative monthly meetings Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Computer science or a related major, preferred. Excellent communication, troubleshooting and research skills. An excellent eye for editing content and familiarity with formatting text; attention to detail. Knowledge of HTML and CSS. Demonstrated beginner to intermediate graphic design skills. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Knowledge or understanding of web accessibility. Ability to take on web-related project responsibilities independently, for repeated tasks or once direct instructions are provided initially. Ability to self-prioritize tasks that are repeated or ask for assistance on tasks that are out of the norm. A friendly, outgoing personality; you will interact with and provide service to all University departments and programs. Previous experience with a content-management system, preferably Drupal, is a plus. Required Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and other computer programs. Effective communication skills. Dependable and able to follow through on assignments. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate follow through. Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units. Salary Range $16.90 per hour.
