Grant Accountant

Kforce has a client in Brooklyn, NY that is seeking a Grant Accountant.Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of funded programs or financial accounts
• Prepare and submit invoices, reports, and supporting documentation in a timely manner
• Assist with budget updates and revisions as needed
• Review financial data regularly to ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses; make adjustments as required
• Support audit processes and assist with preparation of financial documentation and reports
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on budgeting and financial requests
• Communicate clearly and professionally regarding financial matters, including issues and resolutions
• Ensure work is performed in alignment with organizational policies and standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting or financial experience
• Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., formulas, data analysis functions)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting grant, contract, or program-based accounting activities
• Familiarity with financial management or ERP systems
• Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
