Key Responsibilities of Grant Accountant:

• Manage a portfolio of grants and contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and billing
• Prepare and submit invoices and financial reports to government agencies and private funders
• Monitor compliance with funding requirements and support audit readiness
• Collaborate cross-functionally to respond to funding inquiries and support program teams
• Assist with financial projections, reporting, and database management for contracts

Qualifications of Grant Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
• 2-3 years of grant accounting experience with exposure to government or foundation funding
• Experience with New York City and New York State funder requirements (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA, etc)
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF functions) and ability to analyze financial data
