AR COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

Accounts Receivable | Collections SpecialistLocation: West Hollywood, CA Pay Rate: $27-$28/hourA growing and dynamic organization in the advertising industry is seeking an Accounts Receivable | Collections Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to a high-volume billing and collections function.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate accurate and timely customer invoices based on contracts, campaigns, and sales activityReview billing details for accuracy, including rates, terms, and campaign specificationsDistribute invoices via email, mail, and electronic billing platformsPost and apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) to customer accountsReconcile payments against open invoices and investigate discrepanciesMaintain accurate records of all cash receipts and transactionsMonitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past due balancesCommunicate with clients via phone and email to resolve outstanding invoicesNegotiate payment arrangements when needed and document all collection activityReconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerResearch and resolve billing disputes, partnering cross-functionally as neededCollaborate with internal teams such as sales and operations to ensure billing accuracyPrepare AR aging reports and provide updates on collection statusIdentify trends in customer payment behavior and escalate risks when appropriateSupport month-end close by providing AR-related data and insightsBuild strong relationships with clients to support timely collectionsRespond to billing inquiries and resolve issues with professionalismMaintain a high level of customer satisfaction while enforcing payment termsQualifications3–5+ years of Accounts Receivable | Collections experience in a high-volume environmentStrong understanding of accounting principles and AR processesProficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)Experience with collections and customer-facing communicationHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate within a teamWhy This OpportunityTemp-to-hire with long-term potentialStable, team-oriented environmentOpportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced advertising settingCompetitive hourly pay at $27-$28/hourBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
