Real Estate Accountant - $130,000

Job Details Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year What you'll do Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements with supporting variance analyses Perform lease analyses, net rent calculations, and property‑level financial evaluations Drive quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting in partnership with senior leadership Review and analyze financial reporting from third‑party property managers; resolve discrepancies Advise and direct external property managers on accounting standards and best practices Support onboarding of newly acquired assets into accounting systems Own full‑cycle accounting: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and period‑end close Support joint venture and construction audits alongside external auditors Maintain J‑SOX internal control compliance and documentation Optimize and administer the Yardi accounting platform What you bring BA/BS in Accounting or Finance Active CPA license or in process (a plus) 4+ years of accounting experience Real estate industry experience Public accounting firm audit background strongly preferred Experience with Yardi or a comparable platform (MRI, Angus) (a plus) Benefits Competitive compensation 100% paid health benefits by employer 401(k) match Work from home on Fridays Nice blend of accounting & FP&A Fun company events & great culture Tremendous growth opportunities Exceptional job stability backed by a global institution Direct exposure to senior leadership Equal Opportunity Employer Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
