Property Accountant

Client: Real Estate Firm Role: Residential Property Accountant Salary: $110,000 - $120,000/annually Location: Manhattan, New York (Hybrid – 2-3 days a week in office) About the role: We’re seeking a detail-oriented Residential Property Accountant to manage financial operations for a portfolio of residential properties in New York City. This role is responsible for cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, month end close, and analysis of property-level financial performance. Responsibilities: Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports Prepare cash flow reports and ensure adequate cash balances Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies Perform month end closing procedures for each property Process accounts payable/receivable and tenant billing Assist with annual budgets and audits Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3+ years of residential property accounting experience Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
