General Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient scheduling, workflow management, and high-quality service delivery
• Promote and maintain operational excellence, safety compliance, and adherence to industry standards
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all teams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal, city, county, commercial, and residential clients
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company’s market presence
• Support sales initiatives, proposal development, and contract negotiations
• Represent the company at industry and community events to enhance visibility and reputation
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure profitability and sustainable growth
• Analyze operational metrics and implement strategic improvements
• Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a positive and accountable company culture
• Conduct coaching, performance management, and employee development initiatives
• Support safety initiatives and ongoing operational training for all staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior leadership or general management experience
• Background in tree care, arboriculture, landscaping, or a related green industry required
• Experience working with municipalities, cities, counties, or government contracts preferred
• Proven success in leading operations, business development, and financial performance
• Working knowledge of Spanish strongly preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience managing multiple teams
• Knowledge of safety regulations, operational compliance, and industry best practices
• ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness to travel as needed
