Full-Time Driver ATS (Grant-Funded)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWICfull-time, grant-funded position of ATS Driver.These positions are covered under the agreement between the College and Local 6600 IFT/AFT, AFL/CIO. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as positions become available.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this full-time position is funded by external funds. This is a full-time position funded by external funds and work schedule may vary to satisfy the operational needs of the program. Provide on-the-job training of ATS Drivers and give evaluation rides to experienced drivers to ensure that proper safety, customer service, regulatory and contractual procedures are being followed. Transportation of customers including persons with disabilities (certified as complimentary paratransit eligible under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and elderly riders.


QUALIFICATIONS

1. Class B CDL with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement (required).

2. High school diploma or GED required. Some College preferred.

3. A minimum of seven (7) consecutive years of licensed driving experience required.

4. Must not have any attributable accidents or moving violations within the last 3 years.

5. Ability to meet and maintain the physical, drug and alcohol testing requirements and Motor Vehicle Records checks per ATS and SWIC guidelines.

6. Must successfully pass criminal background check prior to hire.


STARTING PAY AND HOURS

$25.64 per hour, 40 hours per week
