Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring a night shift LPN for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, requiring EPIC experience and at least 1 year of skilled nursing or 24/7 care experience.

Job Details

• Work in a free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital,
• Rehab Nursing IRF unit with 49 beds and a 1:7 patient ratio,
• Patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions,
• Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a Trauma Center,
• Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus lifts, and slide boards, as well as vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM devices,
• EPIC EHR system used for charting,
• 12-hour night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required,
• On-call requirements apply,
• May be required to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the near future,

Job Requirements

• LPN license required if applicable,
• Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience required,
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment,
• Inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience required,
• Preferred experience in Med Surg or inpatient rehabilitation related to patient acuity,
• Current BLS certification required (AHA certification required),
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,
• Active license verification through Nursys required at time of consideration,

Additional Information

• Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program,
• Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit and can experience high patient acuity at times,
• All nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights to support patient safety,
• 30-minute unpaid meal break required each shift, along with two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift,
• Staff must clock out for breaks and are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval,
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility,
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible,
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time
