This contract opportunity positions you as a key contributor, teaching science curriculum and related content to enthusiastic learners. You’ll work onsite in a supportive setting with a structured weekly schedule—33.75 hours per week—from mid-August through early June.

Your role centers on designing and delivering dynamic science lessons aligned with curriculum standards, making complex ideas accessible and exciting for students. Through innovative teaching strategies, you will foster critical thinking, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for scientific discovery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid PEL (Professional Educator License)
• Previous experience teaching Science or related subjects at the middle school level
• Solid understanding of effective instructional strategies and classroom pedagogy
• Ability to motivate and connect with young adolescents
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability within a classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach science content to middle school students using curriculum concepts, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Develop engaging lesson plans, assessments, and hands-on activities to reinforce scientific understanding
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment while managing student behavior
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to enhance the academic experience
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families regarding academic performance
• Fulfill all onsite duties and participate in campus initiatives as required
