CNC Machinist

You'll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.As a CNC Technician, you will accurately manufacture and supply all ASML products in accordance with the established specification statements. You'll make improvements to existing products and processes and guide the implementation of new products and processes. CNC Technicians ensure quality and standardization, while contributing to improvements in effectivity and efficiency.Shift: Back End Days 6am – 6pm (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, alternate Wednesday)Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule- twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.Assemble cutting tools into tool-holders and positions tool-holders in machine spindles and/or tool changer magazines as required.Manually program CNC controllers through manual data input, generated CNC programs.Manipulate machine controls to set up cutting tools and machine work pieces through CNC operation.Make tool changes and offsets to keep parts in spec and/or to compensate for tool wear.Follow written English work instructions that describe the process and the required measurements.Read and interpret ISO blueprints and incorporate them into part programs.Measure workpiece for conformance to specifications.Verify settings by regularly measuring parts before and after changes are made.Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervisors and co-workers on other shifts.Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations and notifying supervisor of discrepancies.Effectively communicate one on one and in small groups to operators, management and engineersPrioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing prioritiesTranslate requirements into an executable scheduleHigh School, Trade School graduate or G.E.D requiredAssociate degree in machining from a vocational trade preferred.Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification preferable.Intermediate mathematical skills including use of basic math, geometry and trigonometryIntermediate computer skills and familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office & SAPAt least 6 months of experience working with CNC machines and equipment used in optical fabricationFamiliarity with using the following measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages.Prior DMG, Hurco & Siemens control experience a plusStrong analytical skills – capable of translating requirements into executable scheduleCross train and support cross functional groups.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing prioritiesStrong ability to work safely on fragile, high value opticsWork independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and drive improvementsMay also be exposed to laser energy, magnetic fields and open flamesRoutinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.May require travel dependent on business needs.Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Must be comfortable working around lasers, working with ladders, working on platforms, and working around chemicals.Must be able to work in a moderate to high noise level environment in a temperature-controlled environmentMust be comfortable operating/working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, solvents, polishing slurry, and tooling.You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorshipThere is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
