Closing Coordinator

We are looking for a Closing Coordinator to join one of our offices in Brooklyn NY the ideal candidate should have experience handling both residential and commercial NJ closings.

1. Handle all communication from parties in the file when the report goes out through closing
2. Coordinate clearance by reviewing schedule B contacting attorneys/creditors and sending clearance requests if applicable
3. Coordinate owner/loan policies with counsel and client
4. Obtain high liability approval if applicable
5. Obtain documents and all fees/invoices to be paid at closing
6. Follow up for outstanding items on closing checklist
7. Check on the survey if applicable
8. Finalize title invoice including contacting municipalities for taxes water/sewer etc.
9. Review clearance (with counsel if necessary) and review any payoffs etc.
10. Obtain clear to close approval
11. Send closing notifications
12. Schedule closer and order rundowns
13. Settlement statement balancing
14. Loop in accounting dept. for funding
15. Prep affidavits and generate loan docs as necessary

• Experience handling both residential and commercial NJ closings
• Knowledge of NJ recording and transfer taxes
• High customer service skills
• Strong typing and computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a detail-oriented work ethic
