Required Skills:

• Current certification as an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)
• Proven experience in trauma, critical care, or emergency medicine
• Ability to independently manage trauma patients from admission to discharge
• Proficiency in procedures such as chest tube insertion, central and arterial lines, and ventilator management
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills within an EMR system (Epic preferred)
• Flexibility to respond promptly to trauma alerts and ED admissions
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working as a trauma hospitalist or in a Level I trauma setting
• Familiarity with pediatric trauma care and management
• Skills in suturing minor lacerations and managing invasive procedures
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills considered an asset

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Nursing (FNP, AGACNP, or Pediatric NP) or Physician Assistant certification
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care settings
• Previous experience working in a hospital-based trauma service

Other Requirements:

• Must be licensed and credentialed to practice in Minnesota (licensure costs not reimbursed)
• Ability to work in-house with no call responsibilities during assigned shifts
• Willingness to work with a diverse patient population aged 0-100+
• Travel, licensure, and certification reimbursements, where applicable
