Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic procedures, and developing customized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in coordination with physicians or independently, adhering to your qualifications
• Informing patients and families on prevention strategies, wellness practices, and managing chronic conditions
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as permitted by your licensure
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications Required

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Minnesota
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
