Employment Litigation Associate

What you can expect Collegial, life-style firm culture. Direct client contact. Training on the practice of civil litigation in Massachusetts. Opportunity for written advocacy by drafting letters, pleadings, motions, filings, communications with clients, opposing counsel, court, mediators, experts, and others. Opportunity for oral advocacy in court, mediation, administrative proceedings, and with clients, opposing counsel, court, mediators, experts, and others. Legal research assignments. Opportunity to participate in case strategy with partners and other team members. Develop competency in employment law. What we expect Enthusiasm for learning the practice of employment law. Efficient execution of case and non-case related assignments. Accurate, organized, and comprehensive legal and factual research product. Interest in being familiar with all case materials for assigned matters. Strategic, well-reasoned work product. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, keep track of deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of the team. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Westlaw. Education: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensure: License to practice law in Massachusetts. Experience: 3-6 years of experience practicing civil litigation.
