Case Manager

Job Description

The St. Petersburg Downtown Office of Wicker Smith is looking for an experienced Case Manager.

Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

\n
• Management, distribution, and profiling of items received in office pleading repository.
\n
• Assist firm management as requested.
\n
• Department mail distribution.
\n
• Typing, scanning, and organizing documents.
\n
• Supporting manager for all administrative duties including copying, typing, faxing, telephone coverage, making travel arrangements, deliveries, etc.
\n
• Completing conflict checks as needed.
\n
• Initial set up of new case files in internal document management system.
\n
• Recording Case management reminders for trial orders.
\n
• Completing miscellaneous projects and backing-up other positions as requested.
\n

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND LICENSURE

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, preferably some college.
\n
• Skills/Abilities: Excellent typing skills; Ability to produce accurate work product in a timely manner and work in a team environment.
\n
• Ability to use computer, copy/scanner, fax machine, telephone, and other office equipment.
\n
• Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and processes is preferred.
\n

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

\n
• Speaking: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
\n
• Hearing: Ability to hear average or normal conversations.
\n
• Finger Dexterity: Ability to type and pick-up small objects and dial the telephone.
\n
• Repetitive Motions: Movements regularly require using the arms, wrists, hands, and or/fingers.
\n
• Visual Abilities: Ability to inspect documents and operate office machinery.
\n
• Physical Abilities & Strength: Sitting most of the time. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Walking when necessary to retrieve supplies, faxes, mail, etc. Some bending and squatting. Lifting of files and boxes.
