In this role, you will build lasting relationships with customers, provide expert guidance on auto, home, renters, and other personal insurance products, and identify opportunities to meet additional insurance needs. Job Duties Assist customers with personal insurance needs, including auto, home, renters, and related coverages. Educate clients on coverage options and recommend solutions based on individual needs. Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, products, underwriting guidelines, and eligibility requirements. Support existing policyholders by answering questions, processing changes, and identifying retention opportunities. Convert inbound inquiries and leads into new insurance business. Proactively uncover additional insurance needs through consultative conversations. Build long-term client relationships that drive customer loyalty and repeat business. Generate referrals and network within the community to develop new business opportunities. Work toward sales and retention goals while delivering outstanding customer service. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Additional customer service, business, or office training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service. Experience using computers, business software, and data entry systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Previous customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred. Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial. Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position. Individuals who demonstrate patience, professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are well positioned for success as a Customer Service Representative. Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while assisting customers. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and business partners. Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and data entry tasks throughout the workday.
