Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist
$20 per hourWe are looking for an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist. In this role, you will log incoming customer payments, fix billing errors, and call business clients to collect unpaid bills. You must have direct experience with ACH payments, lockbox deposits, and business-to-business phone collections. Success means you are polite and professional when collecting money while staying on good terms with customers. This is an immediate opening for an established company in Birmingham. - Post Payments: Enter daily customer payments (ACH, bank wires, checks, and lockbox batches) into the system and make sure all numbers match up.
- Fix Payment Issues: Find and fix billing mistakes, missing payment details, or partial payments.
- Call Clients for Unpaid Bills: Call and email business customers about late invoices, solve billing questions, and set up payment plans.
- Help Customers: Answer questions about invoices, receipts, and account balances in a clear and friendly way.
- Keep Records: Take good notes during calls and help the team review open accounts at the end of the month.
