Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Birmingham, AL Summary This position will involve assisting in the day‑to‑day accounts receivable activities. The right candidate must have the ability to work both independently or in a team environment, employ critical thinking and use good judgment in decision‑making. Essential Functions / Duties Assist in posting cash deposit payments. Assist in cash collection calls. Other duties as needed. Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work effectively with or without direct supervision as well as independently or in a team environment. Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. At least 1‑year experience in a similar role. Preferred Education and Experience Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school. 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts receivable role preferred. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position.
