Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients through interviews and standardized evaluation tools to establish a clear understanding of their mental health needs.

• Therapeutic Planning: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client's specific issues and backgrounds.

• Ongoing Support: Maintain regular sessions with clients to monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies, and equip them with coping mechanisms to navigate their challenges.

• Collaboration: Work closely with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crises, employing strong crisis management skills to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety.

• Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client progress and interactions in the EHR system, adhering to all ethical guidelines and confidentiality protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. A significant portion of your clients may struggle with various conditions such as substance use, trauma history, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Cultural competence is key; understanding and respecting the varied backgrounds of our clients will be essential in delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of clinical experience, demonstrating a track record of effective mental health treatment.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Capability to deliver both individual and group therapy, employing culturally sensitive techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
