Senior Staff Accountant

WORK SITE STATUS: Hybrid (2 days/week in the office) PAY RANGE: $45.00/hour to $51.00/hour JOB DESCRIPTION CV Resources, in partnership with our client, a health care company, seeks a detail-oriented SENIOR Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. Reporting within a well-structured corporate accounting team, the Staff Accountant will support core general ledger functions and contribute to an accurate and timely month-end close. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT General Ledger (G/L) Accounting Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Maintain and reconcile prepaid schedules and roll forwards. Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations. Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts and provide clear explanations. Audit & Compliance Assist with external audit requests and respond to auditor inquiries. Ensure compliance with GAAP reporting requirements. Support the implementation of new accounting standards as applicable. REQUIREMENTS OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT Required Public accounting (audit) background. Hands‑on general ledger experience including journal entries, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and month‑end close. Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in accounting or related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation. Preferred CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA. Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles. SKILLS OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT Required Technical Proficiency in NetSuite. Interpersonal Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
