We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support tax compliance, audits, and investigations in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role involves researching complex taxpayer issues, analyzing financial records, and ensuring accuracy in tax accounts and systems.

What You'll Do:
- Research and resolve taxpayer payment, return, and liability issues
- Provide technical assistance to taxpayers and agencies
- Analyze financial documents, tax returns, and audit results
- Create and adjust billings/liabilities using agency systems
- Identify non-filers and review compliance with tax obligations
- Maintain case records and track assessments/collections
- Review data for inconsistencies and potential discrepancies
- Support audits or investigations, including evidence handling and documentation
- Complete confidential disclosure requests in accordance with policy
- 8+ years in accounting, tax collection, finance, or customer service
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, auditing, and accounting principles
- Experience with databases or tax software preferred
- Ability to interpret complex financial and technical information
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Paid parking in a downtown location
- Stable, full-time role with consistent hours
- Meaningful work supporting public service and compliance
