Description What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and complex clinical laboratory evaluationsincluding chemistry, hematology, and immunologyadhering strictly to established protocols.
• Ensure the accuracy of results, manage troubleshooting of any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance as well as calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis whenever necessary.
• Keep meticulous records of all procedures, provide training for new staff or students, and uphold the laboratory's quality standards.
• Maintain a tidy, secure working environment while observing all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health qualification plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Retain active certification throughout your tenure.
