Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work setting, meaning you will have the flexibility to conduct your sessions from the comfort of your own home or any suitable location that ensures confidentiality and professionalism. Your core working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing you with a structured schedule while allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As part of a community health clinic, you will also connect with other health professionals through virtual meetings and collaborative care initiatives to create cohesive treatment plans for clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify clients’ needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique circumstances of each client.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies through one-on-one and family counseling sessions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, participating in case consultations and team meetings to ensure integrated care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and treatment notes using our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and peer supervision to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population that includes children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Understanding the unique cultural and social contexts of our community in Corning, New York, you will tailor your therapeutic approach to ensure all clients feel valued and understood. Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

• Active state licensure in New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, including strong listening and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in using digital communication tools and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
