Business Development Executive

Overview ervpro Team Jones is hiring a Business Development Executive (BDE) in the property restoration and disaster recovery industry. The role is critical for driving revenue and establishing long-term partnerships with insurance carriers, property managers, adjusters, and commercial facility owners. The primary objective is to secure a steady stream of referral business and formal service agreements that guarantee priority response and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities Negotiate and execute formal service agreements to solidify the relationship between the restoration firm and the client, ensuring the firm is the first point of contact during a disaster. Educate property owners and facility managers on the value of proactive disaster planning; promote signing of Emergency Response Agreements (ERAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), or Contingency Plans for priority response and pre-approved pricing structures. Manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting to contract execution and ongoing account management, using CRM software (e.g., Dash, Salesforce, or specialized restoration CRMs). Maintain accurate notes on client preferences, track lead progress, and log networking activities; submit detailed weekly activity reports outlining visits, meetings, and progress toward revenue goals. Provide ongoing account management to ensure client satisfaction and secure repeat business, acting as the primary liaison between the client and internal operations and estimating teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience preferred. A minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience. Strong process and results-driven attitude. Experience in the cleaning, restoration, or insurance industry is preferred. Skills & Competencies B2B sales expertise with the ability to navigate long sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and close deals with commercial entities and insurance carriers. Industry knowledge of property damage restoration processes, construction terminology, and estimating software (e.g., Xactimate). Strategic planning to develop geographic routing plans, target high-value verticals, and create actionable business development strategies. Interpersonal skills with excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution abilities to inspire loyalty among referral partners.
