Operations Maintenance Technician

Facilities Maintenance Technician IIWe are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team in San Diego, CA.The Responsibilities• Responsible for a range of technical duties requiring specialized knowledge.• Ensures compliance with safety, NERC, and environmental procedures.• Communicates plant conditions and information to others.• Operates plant equipment and systems during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.• Conducts maintenance on water systems and plant equipment.• Performs upkeep of site buildings and grounds.• May need to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.• Possible travel may be necessary.• Other duties as assigned.The Profile To Succeed• High School Diploma, technical/vocational degree, or equivalent required.• Preferred Associates degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.• 10+ years of related experience including environmental & safety regulations knowledge.• Experience with hazardous materials and testing equipment.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and math.• Ability to follow instructions and make sound decisions.• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and other programs.• Ability to provide training and direction to employees.• Proficient in reading blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.• Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable history.
