You will have access to advanced electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to efficiently manage client documentation and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and regular evaluations, meticulously documenting the progress of clients from the first consultation through the completion of their treatment.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans, ensuring they are relevant to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a safe space for clients to share and work through their challenges.
\n
• Continuously monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments to enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and fellow mental health specialists to create holistic intervention strategies.
\n
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who have been admitted to the hospital for additional support.
\n
• Proactively identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement strategies to address these challenges effectively.
\n
• Engage with family members and primary caregivers to provide guidance on managing mental health issues related to their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and addiction disorders. You will be responsible for creating treatment plans that respect and respond to the unique backgrounds and needs of each client, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Proof of passing scores on the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• At least two years of prior experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your depth of knowledge and clinical expertise.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document client progress and manage treatment plans effortlessly.
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of various mental and physical health conditions and their treatment, as well as the impact of substance use disorders.
\n
• Solid familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and leading workshops to engage clients in their recovery journey.

• An understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
\n
• Knowledge of culturally competent practices in mental health counseling and the ability to apply these principles in client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
