Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through one-on-one sessions with clients to determine their mental health status and needs.

• Develop tailored therapy plans utilizing evidence-based practices specific to the individual needs of each client.

• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, both individual and group, providing therapeutic interventions and tools to assist clients in overcoming their challenges.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all clients, ensuring quality documentation and confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Coordinate care by providing referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, when necessary, to ensure a comprehensive support system for clients.

• Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to clients in distress or experiencing mental health emergencies, applying strong conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. You will encounter clients from various cultural backgrounds, necessitating a deep understanding of cultural competence and sensitivity, allowing you to tailor your approach to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of four years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
