The position is primarily remote, operating under an outpatient model, which allows counselors the flexibility to provide services in a way that is both effective and convenient for clients. Our team utilizes state-of-the-art electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to streamline assessments, treatment planning, and documentation, ensuring a seamless experience for clinicians and clients alike. In addition, despite the remote nature of the role, we foster a collaborative atmosphere through regular virtual team meetings and interdepartmental consultations, promoting a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations from initial consultations to discharge, thoroughly documenting the client's journey and progress.

• Developing tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families, based on the latest best practices and individual client needs.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, drawing on diverse therapeutic techniques tailored to the specific population you are working with.
\n
• Tracking client progress throughout treatment cycles, adjusting intervention strategies based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
\n
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.

• Providing psychoeducation and support to family members and caregivers to address mental health challenges within the family dynamics.
\n
• Actively managing referrals to other services when necessary, enhancing the comprehensive care provided to clients.

• Staying informed of the latest research in psychotherapy and continuing education to maintain licensure and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with emotional distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure in Kansas as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on creating a supportive and open dialogue with clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy and understanding in all client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous work experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating proficiency in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and therapeutic interventions.
