Logistics Coordinator

Agramont Worldwide Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our freight brokerage team in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on coordinating customer shipments through third-party carriers, securing transportation capacity, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate freight shipments from load tender through delivery, serving as a point of contact for customers and third-party carriers.

· Source and book qualified carriers based on shipment requirements, available capacity, pricing, and service expectations.

· Negotiate carrier rates and support competitive customer quotes while maintaining target margins.

· Confirm carrier approval with the appropriate internal team before assigning loads.

· Prepare and communicate load details, rate confirmations, pickup and delivery appointments, and special handling instructions.

· Track shipments, obtain status updates, and proactively communicate delays or service issues to customers.

· Resolve transportation issues, including missed appointments, capacity changes, detention, and other accessorial requests.

· Maintain accurate shipment records, carrier communications, and operational updates in the transportation management system.

· Collect and review shipment documents, including bills of lading and proof of delivery, to support accurate and timely billing.

· Collaborate with sales, accounting, and operations teams to meet customer needs and maintain strong carrier relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· Experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or coordinating shipments with third-party carriers.

· Understanding of carrier sourcing, transportation rates, shipment tracking, and freight documentation.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

· Strong negotiation, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment under pressure.

· Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and respond quickly to changing customer and carrier needs.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with transportation management systems and load boards preferred.

Work Schedule:

· Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM–11:00 AM, on-site.

· Saturday: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, remote.
