Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Several full-time contract positions are now open for dedicated educators looking to support either an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) program or a therapeutic classroom, both designed to foster meaningful growth and development for K–5 learners.

You’ll step into a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, with strong multidisciplinary support from Speech, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy professionals. Each classroom also benefits from the assistance of three paraprofessionals, ensuring a low student-to-adult ratio and robust support system. You’ll join a team that values open communication and shares a commitment to student progress—no toileting or lifting duties required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Certification (required)
• Experience working with ASD or behavioral/therapeutic student populations
• Ability to foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Passion for individualized instruction and student-centered approaches

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to elementary students within ASD or therapeutic programs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary team members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Develop and adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet each student’s needs
• Foster a classroom culture of acceptance, safety, and growth
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes for ongoing program improvement
