Overview

We are seeking a board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Fort Mohave, AZ. This opportunity includes scheduled clinic coverage, hospital coverage, and call support for a variety of women’s health needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, gynecologic procedures, and inpatient OB coverage.

• Shift Pattern: 7a to 7a coverage on select dates
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,290 - $7,450
• Coverage Length: Approximately 22 weeks
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
• Board Certification: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required

Job Requirements

• Board-certified physician in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• At least 1 year of OB/GYN clinical experience required
• Experience managing both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
• Comfort with fetal heart rate interpretation, including NST, CST, and FSE
• Proficiency in OB ultrasound performance and interpretation, including Level I and Level II studies
• Experience with routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal delivery, low forceps, C-sections, breech, multiples, abruption, and VBACs
• Skilled in repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Competency in office and minor gynecology procedures such as IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Ability to perform surgical gynecology procedures, including open, laparoscopic, and major operative cases
• Laser certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in clinic and hospital settings
• Manage labor and delivery coverage for routine and complex obstetric cases
• Interpret fetal monitoring and OB imaging to support safe clinical decision-making
• Perform deliveries, C-sections, and emergent obstetric interventions as needed
• Deliver gynecologic care, including office procedures and surgical support
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless patient coverage during scheduled blocks
• Respond to call coverage needs with professionalism and strong clinical judgment
