Special Training: RNFA Credentialing Completed/signed by provider within 3 months of hire within each specialty. Cross train to all period roles within 6 months of hire. Reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical patients. Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of OR Technicians. Directly assists surgeon intraoperatively, assists with patient positioning and directing other surgical team members while practicing perioperative nursing. Job Requirements Required Three (3) years Perioperative Practice experience Experience in both scrub and circulating RN roles Registered Nurse: CA RN License Basic Life Support - CPR BLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Certified Nurse Operating Room - CNOR Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS within 6 - months Preferred Previous first assist experience Experience as RN and First Assist in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred Where You'll Work Founded in 1946, Dignity Health - French Hospital Medical Center is a 112-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Luis Obispo, California.
