Case Processing Analyst

Job TitleThe mission of the California Department of Social Services is to serve, aid and protect needy and vulnerable children and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families, encourage personal responsibility and foster independence. Through the Guardian Management System, the Care Provider Management Branch (CPMB) serves, aids, and protects the most vulnerable persons associated to our agencies and registries by processing background checks that meet all State and Federal mandates in an equitable manner. CPMB is seeking a motivated individual with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt, evaluate, and be part of a changing organizational structure. Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst I performs work requiring knowledge of background check processes and program requirements. The Analyst I applies analytical skills and program knowledge to efficiently manage and process background check applications. This position involves handling a full caseload, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, in compliance with regulations, and within established timelines, while consistently delivering high-quality results. Applicants with knowledge of CCLD licensing laws, regulations and procedures, background check case management system, Licensing Information System (LIS), and the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common software programs are highly desirable and will be given priority consideration.
