Surgical Technologist (CVOR) - Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) to join our team. The Surgical Technologist will assist in providing high-quality, safe, and culturally competent patient care in a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with moderate to high acuity surgical cases, demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and healthcare team members. Key responsibilities include preparing the operative suite, assisting with sterile procedure setup, passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting infection control standards. The role also involves supporting preoperative preparations, assisting with inventory management, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Call or late coverage may be required.

Hourly Pay Rate: $40.20

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent; valid certification and associated degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in stressful and emergency situations.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Prior experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred.

Day shifts, 3x12-hour schedules including 2 late shifts. Weekend shifts per unit requirements.
