About the Position

We are seeking a Locums Gastroenterology Physician to provide weekend call coverage in Northampton, Massachusetts. This is a call-only opportunity with coverage needed approximately one weekend every five weeks .

The physician will provide inpatient GI consultation and management for adult patients in a hospital setting. The hospitalist team takes first call, with the gastroenterologist providing specialty backup and performing procedures as needed.

Compensation : $2,800-$3,000 Per Day

Position Highlights

• Call-only coverage

• Approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks

• Weekend call: Friday at 3:00 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM

• 24-hour overnight call coverage: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM as applicable

• Hospital-based practice setting

• Adult patient population

• Hospitalist team takes first call

• Physician will round on patients

• EMR: Epic

• Bread-and-butter Gastroenterology

• Upper and lower endoscopy

• Colonoscopies

Requirements

• MD or DO

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Active Massachusetts medical license

• BLS certification

• Current DEA registration

• Comfortable providing inpatient GI consultation, rounding, and endoscopic procedures
