Pay Rate: $2,400.00 - $2,600.00 gross per week

• LPC, LCSW, or LMFT they will accept

Start Date: December 7th start date

Length: 13 weeks

Travel: On-compound housing will be provided in a shared housing unit. If on-compound housing is full, off-compound housing will be provided along with a rental car for transportation to and from work.

Housing includes:

• Bedding and bath towels
• Washer and dryer in each unit
• Full kitchen
• Shared common area

Contractors are responsible for their own food and personal items. Meals are available at the Hospital Cafeteria from 6:00 AM–7:00 PM , including grill options and full meals prepared daily.

A vehicle is also available for staff to use for trips into town, such as getting groceries or picking up mail, for up to 2 hours at a time .

Schedule for Clinic: M-F ; 8am-5pm

On-Call:

• OT and callback is 1.5x rate 
• There will be on call rotation with the perm staff. There is no beeper fee. However, you'll be paid a minimum of 1 hr of OT pay if they get a call. 
• Ex. If they get a call and it's 2 mins long, they will still get paid for 1 hr. 

EMR: Cerner

Patient Volume:

• Varies... could be 0-1 or 5-6 ppd
• Visits could also vary such as a 6 min visit or 6 hr visit



Additional Information:

• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, particularly when serving Alaska Native populations, and collaborate with clinical staff when appropriate.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for adults, children, adolescents, and families, including community-based evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and document evidence-based treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Complete Medicaid authorizations, billing documentation, and payer reporting accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to support client treatment goals and continuity of care.
• Build positive, empathetic relationships that encourage client engagement and personal growth.
• Coordinate community resources, including social services, schools, healthcare providers, ICWA, probation, and other agencies.
• Assist with medication self-management, transportation, respite care, and recreational, educational, and vocational activities.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and accurate clinical documentation
• Provide prevention, education, and outpatient behavioral health support for children and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, emergency on-call rotations
• Assess risk of harm to self or others and make appropriate recommendations or referrals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS

• LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure
• A master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling is required.
• CPR/BLS

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptable and flexible in a clinical setting.
• Able to assess, diagnose, and complete clinical documentation.
• Provides guidance and evidence-based psychotherapy.
• Treats co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Minimum one year of clinical counseling or psychotherapy experience with adults, children, and adolescents.
• Demonstrates leadership, dependability, and sound clinical judgment.
• Builds strong rapport with clients and families.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide:

• Developmentally and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span (e.g., pediatric/adult/geriatric) ;
• Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the client’s status and interpret information needed to identify each client’s therapeutic needs.
• Crisis interventions with proficiency and sensitivity for clients and their families
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, as well as electronic health records (EHR) and secure messaging platforms used for confidential communication between providers.
• Cultural knowledge of Native Alaskans/American Indians preferred.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

This facility includes 21 village clinics that are accredited by Joint Commission and are staffed by Community Health aides. Our Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) plays a very important role in village health services. Our health aides can provide Preventative, Acute, Chronic, and Emergency care within their scope of practice using the Community Health Aide Manual (CHAM) and reporting to a referral Physician at the Kanakanak hospital. They work closely with our case management and assist many other departments that include, but not limited to: Optometry, Audiology, Diabetes, Medical Staff, Dental, and Infant learning to ensure our patients are getting the appropriate and essential care that they need.
