Pharmacy TechnicianAll expenses covered ***Pay Rate: $1,600.00 - $2,000.00 gross per weekSpecialty: PharmacyNumber of Positions: 1Start Date: JulyLength: 13 WeeksSchedule: Monday-Friday schedule8am-5pm or 9am-6pm (1 hr unpaid lunch) flexible on schedule here**potential for overtime!**EMR: CernerAdditional Details:200-300 prescriptions a dayThe pharmacist verifies them and tech fills themInpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and ER pharmacy duties (all in the same building)Dispensation & Preparation: Accurately fill and package prescription medications, as well as prepare compounded medications and unit-dose orders.Inventory Management: Monitor drug stock, check for shortages, receive and verify incoming pharmaceutical shipments, and organize shelves for optimal retrieval.Patient Records: Update patient prescription histories, manage billing and insurance claims, and maintain manual and automated pharmacy files.Facility Compliance: Strict adherence to safety, sterile procedures, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA and controlled substance laws).Team & Patient Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, doctors, and the pharmacy team. Our Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) plays a very important role in village health services. Our health aides can provide Preventative, Acute, Chronic, and Emergency care within their scope of practice using the Community Health Aide Manual (CHAM) and reporting to a referral Physician at the Kanakanak hospital.
