Strategic Growth Lead – Marketplace / Network Growth $200,000 – $300,000 + equity We’re working with a high-growth, venture‑backed technology company in San Francisco on a confidential, business‑critical growth hire. They’re building a differentiated marketplace‑style model powered by a fast‑growing network of specialist professionals. They now need a Strategic Growth Lead to own the systems, metrics and growth strategy behind scaling, engaging and retaining that network. This is not a traditional community, brand or marketing role. It’s a metrics‑led growth role focused on acquisition, activation, retention, engagement, lifecycle systems and long‑term network value. You’ll work closely with the leadership team and CEO to build the operating system behind one of the company’s most important strategic assets. What you’ll be doing You’ll own the growth strategy across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and reactivation. You’ll define and track key metrics including CAC, LTV, activation, retention, engagement and network quality. You’ll build growth loops, referral systems, lifecycle journeys, incentive structures and scalable engagement frameworks. You’ll test and execute growth channels across SEO, paid acquisition, referrals, partnerships and other scalable tactics. You’ll create dashboards, playbooks and systems that help the company scale quickly without losing quality. What we’re looking for 10+ years’ experience across product growth, marketplace growth, network growth, lifecycle growth or growth strategy. Experience building growth systems for a large user base, marketplace, creator platform, talent platform, professional network or two‑sided ecosystem. Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, retention, activation, engagement and growth loops. A background that may include major product‑led tech companies, marketplaces, creator platforms, professional networks, top‑tier consulting or high‑growth startups. You’ll be strategic but hands‑on, analytical, commercially sharp and excited by a true 0‑to‑1 build. Package and location $200,000 – $300,000 + equity. The company has a strong preference for candidates based in San Francisco or willing to relocate. This is an on‑site role.
