This is a full‑time, benefited, exempt, 12‑month pay plan permanent position with a one‑year probationary period in the Application Development Department. Additional benefits information can be found at Position Summary: As a member of the Identity Management (IDM) team in Information Technology Services, the incumbent applies professional software development knowledge to design, develop, test, maintain, and support campus identity lifecycle services, directory platforms, and related system integrations. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the campus identity management platform (Fischer), enterprise directories such as Active Directory and OpenLDAP, and downstream systems provisioned through IDM processes, including Google Workspace. The position develops and modifies workflows, scripts, database‑driven processes, and integrations that support identity provisioning, de‑provisioning, synchronization, authentication, and access management services, including SAML‑based single sign‑on and multi‑factor authentication. The incumbent works independently on day‑to‑day assignments, collaborates with the IDM team, ITS, and campus partners to understand business needs and defined requirements, troubleshoots moderately complex system and integration issues, and implements operational changes in alignment with campus procedures, security practices, system stability needs, and compliance requirements. The incumbent is also expected to demonstrate a commitment to the ITS Vision Statement by providing high‑quality services to students, faculty, and staff; maintaining quality and integrity in client service; following best practices in higher education; and demonstrating collaboration, technological sophistication, and multicultural and global perspectives. Identity & Directory Management – 40% Software Developer II Maintain, configure, and improve identity management‑related systems, including Fischer and connected directory platforms. Support and troubleshoot identity and directory services across Active Directory, OpenLDAP, Entra ID, Google Workspace, and related systems. Support identity management processes that provide identity and access information to authentication and access management services, including CAS, SAML‑based single sign‑on, Microsoft Entra ID, and multi‑factor authentication services. Analyze and resolve identity and directory service incidents, service requests, workflow errors, synchronization issues, and access‑related problems across multiple systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve identity provisioning and de‑provisioning workflows to support accurate and timely account lifecycle management. Monitor identity synchronization processes, resolve data and group membership discrepancies, and ensure accurate account and entitlement information. Document system configurations, operational procedures, recurring issues, and resolutions to support continuity of service and knowledge sharing. Programming and Data Integration – 35% Software Developer II Design, develop, test, document, and maintain PL/SQL and related database‑driven processes that support identity lifecycle operations. Design and maintain database structures, queries, and procedures that support identity management applications, integrations, and data integrity.
