The Field Service Technician will work to efficiently solve customer problems and ensure equipment uptime by complying with all safety & process requirements, and promote aftermarket parts, service, and service contracts to contribute to overall sales growth.Job ResponsibilitiesInspects and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with industrial air compressors and related equipmentIdentifies any air compressors, air dryers, and ancillary equipment in need of repairs.Communicate findings and recommendations to site contacts/supervisorsNotifies site contact of unsafe conditions when discovered.Partners closely with site staff to make safe any compressed air system issues promptlyRepairs and maintains various types of air compressors including Oil Flooded (contact cooled), Oil Free, Reciprocating, and ScrollPerforms routine maintenance for air compressors as outlined by manufacturers guidelinesOn-call (afterhours) duties and some in-state travel requiredPerforms other related duties as assigned.Follow all company policies and procedures.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of brand required equipment training3 years of repairing and maintaining industrial equipmentMust be experienced in reading schematics (mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical)Must possess a clean driving record and a valid driver's license and have own mechanics toolsKey CompetenciesInterpersonal skillsSafety conscienceStrong customer service skillsStrong technical aptitudeExcellent communication skills – verbal and written.Excellent listening skillsExcellent time management skillsProblem analysis and problem-solvingAttention to detail and accuracy.Adaptability to change.IntegrityAccountabilityJudgmentTeamworkHigh energy and willingness to take initiative.Stress tolerance, patience, and empathyPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
