Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in our state-of-the-art orthopedic outpatient practice located in Hampton, Virginia. Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center is located in Hampton, VA, a vibrant community known for its rich history and access to various recreational activities that support healing and wellness. The atmosphere at Masuda Movement has been designed to foster collaboration, with two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant working closely together to provide comprehensive care. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish patient objectives and custom treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Manage a case load efficiently, typically treating one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, incorporating evidence-based practices that optimize patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement fitness and wellness programs that address unique patient needs, promoting improved mobility and strength.
• Monitor patient progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, providing motivation and support to enhance their functional capabilities.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in our EMR platform, utilizing WebPT, to maintain consistent communication and tracking of care.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
• Educate patients on the importance of proactive measures to minimize dependency on pain medications and avoid unnecessary surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals seeking recovery from orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and preventative care. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• An impeccable record free of board actions or disciplinary actions against the license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
• Strong background in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention will be advantageous.
• Experience in educating patients on healthy lifestyle choices and injury prevention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
