Work Environment

This position is located in our state-of-the-art outpatient therapy office in Fort Lauderdale, a vibrant city known for its beautiful beaches and welcoming community. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their current physical conditions and functional abilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, exercise interventions, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment goals in accordance with their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Advise and train patients, their families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, the use of assistive devices, and strategies to promote self-care and independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and strategies aimed at optimizing each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, pursuing certifications, and participating in relevant training established by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a physical therapist in our outpatient facility, you will work with a varied patient demographic, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults with post-surgical rehabilitation needs, and seniors managing chronic pain. This role is crucial in helping patients regain their mobility, strength, and confidence to return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in computer skills, including medical record management software.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.
• Flexibility to manage varied schedules and patient caseloads.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, but new graduates with a strong desire to learn and develop their skills will also be considered.
• Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of physical therapy modalities.
