Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at InSearch Therapeutics, you will work in various home settings across Fort Lauderdale, offering care directly in the patient's living environments. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and execute physical therapy treatments focused on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function, ensuring alignment with a comprehensive plan of care.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that therapy plans are implemented effectively and safely.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through diagnostic assessments of muscles, nerves, joints, and functional skills.
• Assess home environments to develop tailored rehabilitation strategies that enhance patients' independence.
• Deliver therapy services as prescribed by physicians, demonstrating a strong command of manual therapeutic techniques and exercise programs.
• Administer traction, massage, and physical agents, ensuring the appropriate application of techniques for optimal results.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed, collaborating with physicians to modify plans based on patient needs.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to develop, review, and refine care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, following OASIS guidelines.
• Provide coaching and education to patients and their families on the use and maintenance of therapy devices.
• Ensure that all documentation, including clinical and payroll records, is completed in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Complete functional assessments on-site and revise treatment plans to match patients' evolving needs.
• Act as a resource and support for the Physical Therapy Assistants during patient treatments.
• Carry out any additional assignments necessary to achieve the goals of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes elderly individuals recovering from surgery, individuals with chronic disabilities, and patients requiring rehabilitation for acute conditions. Each patient's circumstances are unique, and you will be responsible for creating tailored therapy plans that respect their personal goals and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with an impeccable record free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, showcasing advanced clinical expertise.
• Exhibit mastery in various manual therapy techniques and the ability to design engaging therapeutic exercise programs.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly with Web PT, to ensure precise and timely documentation.
• Stay current with the latest physical therapy techniques and methodologies supported by ongoing research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a home healthcare setting or a related field is highly desired but not mandatory.
• Exposure to interdisciplinary team collaboration within a medical or rehabilitation environment.
• Demonstrated capability in crafting individualized patient assessments and treatment adjustments based on needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including:
