Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, as we provide in-home services to our clients throughout Culpeper and the surrounding communities. Our physical therapists work closely with patients in their own environments, allowing for tailored care that respects the individual's space and lifestyle. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and optimizing clients' physical performance based on their unique needs.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to the plan of care, providing guidance and support during treatments as needed.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities through diagnostic testing of muscle, nerve, and joint function to accurately assess their rehabilitation needs.
• Assess the home environment to identify barriers to independence and recommend modifications that encourage safe and effective rehabilitation.
• Deliver therapy services in compliance with physician orders, including administering therapeutic techniques such as exercises, manual therapy, traction, and massage.
• Carry out assessments and re-assessments to evaluate client progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Prepare comprehensive clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, treatment summaries, and discharge reports for each client, ensuring high standards of record-keeping.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment goals and progress, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Instruct patients and their families on the proper use and care of physical therapy devices and the execution of the comprehensive therapy program.
• Provide education and support to enhance clients' understanding and ownership of their therapy, leading to improved outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A strong professional track record with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficient in various manual therapy techniques and capable of designing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient outcomes.
• Knowledgeable in current physical therapy practices and evidence-based techniques.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health care or outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated skills in patient communication and education to foster adherence to therapy plans.
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
