Regional Business Lead, IBD New England

About The Role The Regional Business Lead is responsible for planning and implementing district sales plans, building and leading the district sales team, coaching for success, and managing key business operations. They establish and maintain relationships with key customers, professionals, and internal stakeholders, and promote Takeda’s biotech products to medical professionals. How you will Contribute Develop and implement market-based business strategies that achieve sales objectives, maximize exposure, and create opportunities for company products. Analyze data, conduct account analysis, and evaluate market information to produce actionable business plans. Proactively evaluate business opportunities and strategies, offering recommendations and solutions to the ASD and district sales team. Recruit, train, and develop Specialty Business Managers, aligning performances to achieve objectives and fostering a learning environment. Create and support integrated Specialty Account Manager and Specialty Business Manager teams to achieve sales objectives through collaboration. Implement sales and marketing programs supporting Takeda’s U.S. growth plans within the assigned district. Hold self and team accountable for achieving sales and company objectives and goals. Ensure full compliance of all selling activities with state and federal regulations. Provide strategic input to Marketing personnel for ongoing marketing plan development. Build relationships with local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders within therapeutic areas, including health systems, group practices, networks, and prescriber thought leaders. Serve as liaison with internal business partners and other sales and marketing personnel. Work with Regional and National Account Managers to stay current on managed market issues, implement initiatives, and maximize sales opportunities. Core Elements Related to This Role Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge) Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change) Decision-making and Autonomy (Capacity and authority to make organizational decisions, autonomy in decision-making, complexity and impact of decisions, problem-solving) Interaction (Scope and nature of engagement with others, internal and external relationships) Innovation (Required level of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, innovation, and risk-taking) Complexity (Products managed, business mix, internal and/or external environment, cultural considerations) Education, Behavioral Competencies, and Skills Required Bachelor’s degree – BS/BA Minimum of 5 years of management-level experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries (including district management, specialty account management, marketing management, or product management) Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify unique selling opportunities and adapt to changing market conditions Proven ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback Strong analytical skills to develop strategic and actionable business plans that deliver sales results Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Residence within or nearby the assigned geography Preferred MBA or Master’s Degree Experience with infusible or injectable products Account-based sales experience (hospital, health system, infusion centers, and large group practices) Experience in Immunology and Gastroenterology Biological product launch experience Additional Information Travel Requirements Ability to drive or fly to meetings and client sites; attend local and national meetings and training Overnight travel to support district activities Travel 50-75% of the time Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary Hourly wage range: $84.62 - $116.35. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location. Employees are eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time, and 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
