Per Diem Pharmacist - Phoenix, Arizona

Support a dynamic team of retail pharmacists serving multiple pharmacy locations in the greater Phoenix area, providing essential per diem coverage. This opportunity focuses on flexibility, teamwork, and readiness to assist with call outs, vacations, and high-volume periods in a food and pharmacy retail setting.


Location:

• Various pharmacies throughout Phoenix, AZ and surrounding communities, with most stores commutable within 30 miles.

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem shifts available Monday through Saturday, typically between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (some stores close at 8:00 p.m.)
• Ideal candidates are those seeking part-time work, approximately 2-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services and ensure quality patient care at busy retail pharmacies averaging 100-125 prescriptions per day.
• Collaborate effectively with strong technician support staff.
• Maintain immunization privileges by administering vaccines confidently.
• Participate in an 8-hour training shift devoted to system and operational onboarding, with additional training opportunities as needed.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software proficiently.

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in Arizona with no restrictions.
• At least 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience required; candidates with 5+ years in retail preferred.
• Active immunization certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) card mandatory.
• Previous experience with QS1 software is an advantage.

Additional Details:

• Mileage reimbursement provided for commutes over 30 miles.
• Travel expenses, including mileage, meals, and lodging, reimbursed for assignments exceeding 75 miles.
• Meal stipend of $50 per shift worked.
• First 8 hours of training are non-billable (4 hours non-billable for QS1-experienced candidates).
